Art
St. Paul's school believes that Art is an essential practical, creative and imaginative facet of the curriculum. Children are encouraged and supported to flourish through their artistic achievements, always aiming high.
Our Christian values underpin all aspects of our teaching and learning.
The school values are embedded into every Art lesson.
Children will be given the opportunities to develops their:
- ability to use media and materials
- understanding of the visual elements of art and design (line, tone, texture, colour, pattern, shape, 3D form)
- ability to represent the world around them and express feelings and ideas
- knowledge and interest in artists work from a variety of cultures and social backgrounds and how art shapes and reflects history
- -confidence, self esteem and general mental health through art activities.
